The unnecessary people 

This series is about deceived shareholders, about people who were deprived of their homes and the opportunity to live normally. Such everyday dramas are usually left out of the public eye, so I think it’s important that these people’s stories are told.

 The problem of deceived shareholders, unscrupulous developers, and the lack of state protection of people’s rights in this issue is still relevant in Russia. The series was shot in Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, in the summer of 2020. People who bought apartments in the “Milovsky Park” residential complex should have received them 5 years ago. Construction has stopped, and many houses have not even begun to be built. To attract the attention of the authorities, people organized a peaceful protest and set up a tent camp at the construction site of a residential complex.

Rifa and Ahnaf bought an apartment in early 2016. To do this, they sold their old house in the suburbs of Ufa. All these years, until recently, she and her children lived in a small annex to a private house. Recently, she got an apartment on a mortgage and moved there with her children, the mortgage payment takes almost all of her salary. Olga broke her arm the day before the shooting. She fell off a chair when she was hanging up wallpaper in her new apartment.
