Surinda для Regnum

Surinda is a small Evenki settlement deep in the Siberian taiga, home to just over 400 people. It is a remote territory, accessible mainly by air. Life here remains closely tied to traditional reindeer herding: many residents spend most of their time in the taiga, following a way of life that has been preserved for generations.

Despite the arrival of mobile communication, the internet, and basic infrastructure, the traditional lifestyle continues to define everyday life. Children study at a boarding school, learn their native language, and from an early age become part of this environment—learning to ride reindeer and work in the taiga.

This is a story about a place where modernity has not replaced tradition but has been integrated into it. About a community that continues to live in close connection with nature, preserving its culture and way of life in conditions of isolation and a gradually changing world.
